KNOPPIX  Versi DVD memuat banyak aplikasi kurang lebih ada 10gb aplikasi GNU yg bisa kita gunakan,  baik itu aplikasi server ataupun desktop.

KNOPPIX merupakan turunan Debian yg bersifat Live dan juga telah memuat banyak software GNU, automatic hardware detection, dan juga mendukung graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI and USB devices dan banyak peripherals lainnya.

KNOPPIX dapat dihunakan sebagai Linux Demo, education, rescue system, atau  juga di gunakan untuk produksi (office, programmer dll),

Knoppix merupakan Distro Linux Live yg pertama, akan tetapi Knoppix juga bisa di install di Harddisk dan berjalan seperti umumnya OS, installasinya pun cukup Mudah kita tinggal Ketik “sudo knoppix-installer” di terminal.
